LAMDA? We’ve got you covered.

Our summer course makes gaining a LAMDA qualification straightforward and enjoyable. Students build performance skills, grow in confidence and work towards a recognised grade while having fun.
Lively group workshops, games and one-to-one coaching, with four additional private sessions arranged at your convenience to support their progress.

What’s Included?

  • Before the summer school begins, the student will receive a 45-minute online private session, where they will get to know their tutor and explore their acting style.

  • The tutor will select speeches based on the student’s preferences and skillset. Speeches will be provided ahead of the summer school, so the student can feel prepared and confident going into the week.

  • A mix of group workshops, one-to-one coaching, and plenty of drama games to keep things fun and engaging. By the end of the week, the student will have learned to perform their chosen speeches with confidence, will know their LAMDA theory, and will have made new friends along the way. At the end of the course, we will book the student’s autumn LAMDA exam at a public centre, on a date of your choice.

  • One-hour sessions arranged at a convenient time to consolidate everything covered during the summer school. Two take place online and one in person at the tutor’s home.

One of these sessions will take the form of a mock exam and may therefore be given by a different tutor to the one the student has been working with.

  • After the course, students will be given a digital notebook with the following:

    • A To-Do list, explaining what that student needs to work on ahead of the exam

    • Personalised notes on performance, taken throughout the summer course

    • Personalised answers to the theory questions, that we will have devised throughout the course, based on the student’s thoughts and interpretation of their speeches

Details &FAQs

  • We are working out a few details, but the dates will be released in due course. In the meantime, please register your interest below.

  • We will give you the location after you sign up, but the course takes place in central Tunbride Wells.

  • Aware that this course can be used as a booster, we know that some students may have already chosen speeches. That’s fine! So long as we have your speeches in time for the introductory session, we can ensure we are prepped and ready to teach you.

  • This course is for secondary school aged children only, but we might consider running a course for younger students if a number of parents express their interest. Let us know you’re interested by filling in the form at the bottom of this page.

  • All of our staff are DBS checked, and the course leader, Francesca Bailey, is our Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Francesca also has paediatric first aid training.

You will receive a copy of our safeguarding policy via email before paying your deposit.

  • The course will be delivered by the course director, with the support of an additional tutor and two assistants.
